About Us

Josien’s customers were constantly coming to her with broken websites that required more technical development work than her experience allowed her to help with. Her husband Eric is a seasoned full-stack web developer with a passion for creating beautiful and high-performing websites. Thus, this is how Operation Nation came into existence, organically through the needs of Josien’s SEO clients.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the practice of optimizing a website to rank higher in search engine results pages (SERPs) for relevant keywords. The higher a website ranks in the search results, the more likely it is to receive clicks and organic traffic. Studies have shown that the top-ranking result in a Google search receives 31.7% of clicks, while the second-ranking result receives 24.7%, and it decreases from there. A Successful SEO Campaign Of Operation Nation

One of our successful SEO campaigns was for one of our clients that was struggling to attract organic traffic to its website. We implemented our 7x7 Step SEO Formula:

Within every step, we have 7 more specific steps that we take which we are happy to share with you on an introductory call with one of our specialists.

Step 1. SEO Audit

The SEO Audit showed that the website was dealing with major technical issues. The website loading time was extremely slow, Google bots had a hard time crawling pages and 75% of the pages were not even indexed.

We didn’t build a new website for them, but we did optimize major technical SEO factors, like adding a robots.txt file, implementing site structure, and speeding up the website loading time. Just these changes improved the number of pages that were indexed and we started seeing improvements within one month.

Step 2. Keyword Research

Based on the keyword research, we knew which keywords were most important and created a content plan around those. It was pretty clear that we couldn’t target the high-volume keywords first, but there were plenty of long-tail keywords we could focus on first.

Step 3 and 4. Technical & On Page Optimization

So with the keyword research in mind, we optimized the technical part of the website (step 3) and then continued to optimize the landing pages a.k.a. money pages of the website (step 4). These pages are the locations on a website where your visitors can contact you, sign up for a newsletter, buy a product, download your app, or do other conversions you like to see them doing.

Step 5. Content Clusters & Content Creation

After improving the landing pages, it was time to create new content. This website barely had any blog posts before, so we left the old articles for what they were and started creating new content. Based on our keyword research we could identify interesting content clusters and to put everything together we created a content calendar in Notion. At this point, we knew exactly what content we wanted to be created, when it had to be published, and how it would internally link to other content.

Step 6 & 7. Link building & Reporting and Measuring

In the first six months, we published two articles a month and build 4 external links (step 6). Within six months, the client's website traffic had increased from 20 visitors a day to 200 visitors a day. That is an organic growth of over 900%! They had achieved top rankings for many of their targeted keywords, which then resulted in a significant increase in leads and conversions, leading to a substantial return on investment for the client (step 7).
